The adidas SL-72 is an iconic classic from the 70's popular with the football terrace's. it's retro original look is still highly regarded by both those looking for a comfortable trainer or to wear socially. The trainer is true to size and looks equally at home with a pair of jeans. Recommended purchase!

Brilliant pair of shoes. Fit true to size and v comfortable. A bit worried about rigid tongue but softened up nicely. Squeak a little but not bothered by that.

Best trainers ever! Not quite sure why I've been spending money on Nike and Saucony running shoes when these are lighter and more comfortable. From now on I'm sticking with Adidas SL-72. Great styling, remind me of my first ever trainers in the 70s. Well made, comfortable, perfect on a hot day, but also a better choice for bad weather than Vans (which get soak withing minutes and the padding is atrocious - my heels always hurt in them). They look good with skinny jeans, but also on someone more conservative. They attract attention, but are not over the top. Also, they actually still look good when worn out, because of their retro styling.

My old pair, bought about 4 years ago are still one of the most comfortable trainers I've ever had despite being worn almost every day over the last four years. With so much wear, the soles were getting a bit thin, so I bought a new pair a few months ago. What a difference. :( The new pair have yellow bottoms as opposed to the white on the first pair. Not a massive problem, but the new ones are a lot less comfortable for some reason. They just seem to be 'stiffer'. I know my old pair are 'well worn in', but they were never as 'stiff' as the new ones. Maybe a change in materials or manufacturing process? What I do know is that my old pair were made in Vietnam and the new pair were made in Indonesia. Maybe they' soften up over time, but at the moment, the new ones don't get as much use as my old ones, which is a shame.
